Tactern Privacy Policy
Effective date: 7 September 2026.
Information from tactic submissions
Tactern does not require an account to browse the library or submit a tactic. A submission contains the company name, an observation, and a public source URL. The form does not ask for a name, email address, password, or payment information.
Why submission information is used
Submitted information is used only to review the suggested tactic, check the public source, identify duplicates, and develop selected records for the library. A submission is not published automatically.
Storage and retention
Submissions are kept in a private editorial queue while they are reviewed. The text and public URL may be retained when they are needed to maintain a published record, document a source, or prevent repeated submissions. Tactern does not sell submission information.
Website measurement
Tactern uses privacy-conscious website measurement to understand page visits, library searches, and which research is useful. This may process device, browser, page, and interaction data. Tactic submission text is not used for website measurement. You can limit this processing through your browser or privacy extensions.
Links to other sites
Tactern links to public sources supplied by companies and contributors. Those sites have their own privacy policies and practices. Company marks identify the research subject; they do not indicate a partnership or endorsement.
Changes and contact
If the way Tactern handles information changes, this page will be updated with a revised effective date. For a question about this policy, contact Rakha through rakhaviantoni.com.
